Lawrence Montani’s early education in the importance of customer service was gained as a kid behind the counter of his family’s Stewart’s Root Beer restaurant in NJ.
After graduating from Rhode Island’s Bryant College, he put those lessons to work in the mortgage industry – first as an underwriter, then as a mortgage clerk. According to Lawrence, it was an invaluable opportunity to learn about lending from the inside out, especially the options for structuring a deal to fit the unique needs of each customer. This early experience helped shape the philosophy that drives Lawrence’s business: helping people regardless of situation or circumstance.
Much of the company's growth can be attributed to Lawrence’s “outside the box approach,” looking at the big picture of the customer’s overall financial situation and helping them make the most productive use of their money.
His unique approach extends far beyond the closing, when most relationships with a mortgage provider typically end. Over the years, Lawrence has built a wide-ranging network of experienced, talented vendors to save clients time and aggravation.
Lawrence couldn’t be more proud of its reputation for stellar service and extensive community involvement, including raising funds for the American Cancer Society, coordinating blood drives for the Central Jersey Blood Center, and supporting the efforts of the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
For the last seven consecutive years, Lawrence has been featured among the nation’s “Top 200” mortgage originators by industry trade journal Mortgage Originator. An in-demand business speaker, he has shared the stage with such notables as motivational giant Tony Robbins, legendary coach Lou Holtz, and sales guru Jeffrey Gitomer.
Lawrence’s business is all about building relationships. “When you’re talking to someone about their finances, that’s pretty personal. I invest the time to build rapport with my customers, so they not only get the loan that works best for them, but they can feel good about the process all the way through.”
